There was so much food, technology, trees, charts, tents, people dressed in amazing outfits and a whole lot of colour orange! Here is how it went down…
The event started at 08:00am and guests started streaming in. They were welcomed at the gate by our security team and led in by our ushers into the Institution’s compound. Their 1st stop was at the ICT department, whereby they were taught about emerging trends, information systems, different software and hardware as well as the role of the ICT department in Amboseli Institute.
Thereafter they were guided to the next showcase room which was assigned to the School of Fashion. Here they learnt about the courses offered by our School of Fashion. Also they were shown the various garments, curtains, table cloths, pillows and much more which had been designed and made by the students. The dressing by the fashion team was based on a Chinese theme, also designed by them.
The guests were then guided to the School of Tourism room on 1st floor, which they were invited in by the martial arts students. Polite yet fierce, I wouldn’t try take them…haha. Inside, there were trees to showcase a nursery, various charts e.g. types of birds, a desk with a display of various animals, a projected screen to show videos. Finally there was the tourism help desk that explained to the guests the courses offered and what they entail.
Next stop was the School of Hospitality, which was in the Library Hall. They were show casing the front office desk, service section, kitchen section, housekeeping section and of course there was plenty of food. Actually let me rephrase that, there was a looooot of food 🙂 Our guests were taken through each section and were informed what they entail. They were also informed about the various courses offered by the School of Hospitality.
Finally they were taken to the last room on 1st floor, which had the finance, attachment and examinations department. Here the parents got to know about student’s performance, fees arrears and the schedules for attachment. The marketing team had a tent on the grounds, whereby they were conversing with the guests concerning the courses offered at Amboseli Institute of Hospitality & Technology.
It was a great day! They say photos give a story as well, check them out below.
