My name is Macrina Betty.

I joined Amboseli Institute of Hospitality and Technology the first semester of 2013 undertaking Certificate in Hotel Operations (CHO). It was never an easy task due to challenges here and there but the encouragement I got from my tutors, Mama and friends kept me going.

In 2014 I went for my first attachment at Sentrim hotels and lodges (Elementaita Lodge). I later came back for my diploma and went for my internship at the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Kenya (Mount Kenya Safari Club).

I graduated in August 2015 and got a job at Mount Kenya Safari Club as a Royal Service Agent. I enrolled for my degree in Hospitality Management in October 2015. I’m now doing International Relations (online classes) and working as a Le Club Champion in Accor Groups of Hotels.

CHALLENGES ARE NEVER MEANT TO BRING US DOWN, THEY ONLY PREPARE US FOR THE FUTURE.
