My name is Irene Mwende Joseph. I joined Amboseli Institute of Hospitality & Technology in January 2017 where I undertook a Diploma in Food and Beverage Production Sales and Service Management. After my first year of study, I went for an attachment at Destination Resort Centre – Sagana where I was on rotation basis from kitchen, service and store keeping.

I went back afterwards to resume with classwork which I completed in March 2019, then proceeded for internship at Movenpick Hotel and Residences – Nairobi. At Movenpick since it is a Five star hotel, I majored in pastry and bakery for six (6) months. After completion, I was employed at their branch; IBIS Styles in Westlands – Nairobi where I currently work as a Pastry Chef.

Amboseli Institute has been a home away from home for me, thanks to the good conducive learning environment. The attachment opportunities Amboseli Institute secured for me shaped my career path.
