My name is Alex Ian Mwang’ombe,
I enrolled at Amboseli Institute of Hospitality &Technology in January 2012. I was very passionate about cooking since I was a kid. My passion of cooking grew more when I joined Amboseli Institute. I studied for 9 months and went for attachment at Serena Mountain Village in Arusha, Tanzania for 3 mouths. I’m very grateful for Amboseli Institute for giving me the opportunity which was very hard to find on my own.
I went back for my second year to finish my Diploma course in Food Production which I completed in October 2013, then proceeded for another attachment in Sarova Taita Hills in Voi for 3 months. During my training I gained a lot experience in various sections of the kitchen and operations and also interacted with people of various cultures and regions. I learnt about their delicacies, dressing, beliefs and behavior.
Amboseli Institute helped me to build my career even further by getting me a job at NAS SERVAIR where I worked for 5 years, from 2014 to 2019. I then resigned to start my own business.
Studying at Amboseli Institute was the best choice I ever made.
