Amboseli Institute of Hospitality and technology, a leading institution in hospitality and Tourism education, based in Thika – Kiboko area is seeking a dedicated and experienced Matron to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to students in the hostels, ensuring their safety, discipline, and well-being.
- Oversee cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness within the hostel premises.
- Act as a mentor and counsellor to students, addressing their social, emotional, and personal concerns.
- Maintain records of students’ welfare and report any issues to the administration.
- Collaborate with security, health, and administration teams to enforce college policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Minimum of a Diploma in Counseling, Social Work, or related fields.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a learning institution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies with calmness and professionalism.
- A warm, approachable, and firm personality with a passion for working with young people.
