I joined Amboseli Institute in 2005 for a diploma in Tourism and Business Studies. The course was demanding bearing in mind part of the final exams was under ICM (Institute of Commercial Management) which is an international body.Studying Tourism and Business Studies was like killing two birds with one stone, because it had Tour Guiding part of it and Business Studies.
I developed a good relationship with all members of staffs like Mr.Mwiti, Mr Simati, Madam Beatrice, Madam Sophie, Mr. Nyaga just to mention a few. This was beneficial and they all supported me through my studies. The college secured an attachment for me at Giraffe Centre where I learnt a lot about tourism.
I have worked as a volunteer at David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Nairobi Safari Walk, National Museum of Kenya-Snake Park before securing a job as a hotel manager at Panama Hotel in Tanzania. I must admit that the business management skills that I learnt while in Amboseli helped me to be confirmed even before my probation time was over.

I later moved to United Kingdom, tried a few things but my passion for tourism was immerse.I felt I had the capacity to run my own entity and I founded Jungle Dwellers Ltd.It’s a full service tour operator registered in the UK offering holiday packages in form of safaris, beach holidays and international flight tickets.
Special thanks to Madam Hellen Kibe for being kind and made sure that my studies were not interrupted when I was struggling with school fees.
I would encourage those looking for quality Hospitality and Tourism course to try Amboseli Institute of Hospitality & Technology
Long live Amboseli Institute.
I need the college brochure for 2023
