When I was in high school my passion was being a chef in life and that is what I achieved when I took a step of joining Amboseli, having seen it being advertised on TV. When I joined, I just thought being a chef is just a matter of cooking and that’s it. Well not in Amboseli, because I was confused with the course to take from the various Hospitality courses they offer, but thanks to Md. Beatrice I was able to understand between the different courses and I chose Cookery and Bakery. After which my journey with the institution began.
I started attending classes, of which they were amazing. Amboseli has a cool learning environment and the learning timetable favors every student especially those who are working to pay their own school fees, plus the school fees is also affordable.
Practical days were always my best days because that’s what took me there. Big up to Md. Bancy – my practical teacher – who made me a great chef. Thanks to Amboseli too, they made sure we had all practical facilities and equipment that we require for practicals.
After a period of learning with Amboseli, it was now attachment time and guess what, they take the responsibility of looking for attachment. What a school!
Thanks to Md. Rose who facilitated all this, live long Md. Rose.
I was one of the luckiest people who interned with Carrefour hypermarket, three months of attachment and immediately got a job with them. I am now working at Carrefour, thanks to Amboseli.
My advice to everyone who is in Amboseli or outside there and wishes to join; do not despise your beginning with Amboseli, a greater and brighter future is waiting for you. When in school be humble, work smart and be obedient.
I can bare witness that Amboseli is the best Hospitality school in Kenya. Never in life will I say that I regret being an alumni.
May God bless the management of Amboseli and Amboseli at large.
Live long Amboseli!
